My Digital Shield Appoints Bluebox Founder as Board Member
Security-as-a-service provider My Digital Shield has appointed Caleb Sima, executive chairman and co-founder of Bluebox Security, as a new advisory board member.
In his new role, Sima will help MDS expand its expertise within the security space and accelerate the company’s growth in the IT channel and SMB markets, according to the announcement.
Sima has more than 20 years of experience in the web security industry, and has held several executive roles throughout his career, including CEO of Armorize Technologies and chief technology officer for Hewlett-Packard’s (HPQ) Application Security Center. As an MDS board member, he will work with industry veterans Robert May of Fortinet (FTNT), Steve Padgett of Google (GOOG) and Eddie Schwartz of White Ops.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Caleb to our advisory board and are confident that his unparalleled expertise in web security technologies will be a significant asset to our team,” said Andrew Bagrin, CEO and co-founder of My Digital Shield, in a statement. “His understanding of the field and insight into emerging trends will be a driving force in helping expand MDS’ growth.”
In March, My Digital Shield announced a new partnership with fellow SMB-centric solution provider Nerds on Site to expand its reach into the small and midsize business market. In January, the company appointed former Nortel Networks and General Electric (GE) vet Rick Green as its new channel chief.
