Logicalis US Names IBM Exec as VP of Services Sales

Logicalis US has appointed Jim Cook as vice president of Services Sales, responsible for heading the company’s U.S. services sales division and growing Logicalis’ services sales presence among key customer segments including healthcare customers, software providers and midmarket companies.

Cook is a 33-year IBM veteran who most recently served as consulting partner for IBM Global Services.

“Jim’s track record in helping businesses adopt a services orientation will give our clients the voice of experience they need to help them transition to a services-defined enterprise as they embrace new ways to use Third Platform solutions to open technological doors to more expansive business opportunities,” said Vince DeLuca, CEO of Logicalis US, in a statement.

During his career at IBM, Cook served in a number of sales and executive roles, where he specialized in global services, consulting and business development, according to the announcement.

“This is a time of great change in IT,” said Cook. “I look forward to being an integral part of these changes as they unfold and to working with Logicalis’ clients to help them realize a higher level of business value from their IT services, strengthening their engagements with partners and customers alike.”

Cook is the latest in a string of executive hires at Logicalis this year. In February, Logicalis US appointed Jim Reichwein as senior vice president of Sales and Marketing, with Mark Rogers assuming the role of global CEO later that month. Last week, the company announced that Rob Evans would take on the role of COO in place of Rogers, according to CRN.
