Ingram Micro Seismic Veteran Shifting to Europe

Jason Beal, a well-known veteran of Ingram Micro Services, North America and Ingram Micro Seismic, will soon shift his attention to Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Effective January 1, 2011, Ingram Micro EMEA will leverage Beal as senior director, software and services, Value Division. Beal’s new role is the latest update to Ingram Micro’s cloud, managed services and IT services strategy. Here’s the update.

In recent years, Beal has one of the key leaders driving the Ingram Micro Seismic push, which offers a range of solutions to established and aspiring MSPs. But in recent months, Ingram has been reorganizing its senior leadership to address (A) global opportunities and (B) emerging cloud opportunities.

Beal, for instance, will be based in Brussels, Belgium, reporting to EMEA Senior VP Vincenzo Baggio. But before heading to Europe, Beal has been spending time with new Ingram Micro’s new VP of Managed Services and Cloud Computing, Renee Bergeron.

I caught up with Beal and Bergeron during the recent Rackspace Partner Leadership Summit in San Antonio, Texas. Bergeron spoke at the conference and also seems to be tapping into Beal’s experience within the Seismic team. As you may recall, Bergeron succeeded former Ingram Micro VP Justin Crotty, who joined NetEnrich in August 2010 as senior VP and GM.

How will Beal assist Ingram Micro’s EMEA efforts? I hope to catch up with him in the next few days.
