Friday's Last Word: Virtustream CEO Rodney Rogers — Who exactly is he?

Virtustream CEO Rodney Rogers founded the cloud services and software provider in 2008. Before starting up Virtustream, he was the co-founder, chairman and CEO of Adjoined, a IT service company based in the United States. Rodney was also COO of Kanbay, a global IT services firm acquired by Capgemini in 2007.

What are his plans for Virtustream?

"We are working through regulatory approvals for EMC's acquisition of Virtustream now," he says. "We anticipate the deal will close sometime in mid July and we’ll be integrating into the EMC Federation thereafter in Q3. Beyond the acquisition and integration activities, our plans in parallel continue to be to drive growth of our cloud software and IaaS solutions into the Fortune 500."

Who does Rogers challenge to sit in the hot seat?

Dave Politis, CEO of BetterCloud.
