CP Expo Award from TSNN

Channel Partners Conference & Expo last night received a Best of Innovation Award from the Trade Show News Network (TSNN). The win was announced during an awards gala that capped the 11th annual TSNN Awards, held at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.

Channel Partners received the Created a Community award for its focus on demonstrating and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion at its events.

A “Pledge to Promote Diversity & Inclusion” is posted on Channel Partners’ website. That pledge reads in part, “We want everyone to feel welcome at Channel Partners Conference & Expo, to learn and understand the importance of innovation, to engage with technology as an enabler of positive change, to build a better functioning and more inclusive world, rather than exacerbate exclusion.”

Informa’s Kelly Danziger and Joe Marks accepted the award for Channel Partners Conference &Expo.

Accepting the award on behalf of Channel Partners were Kelly Danziger, general manager vice president of channel for Informa Tech, and Joe Marks, channel event director at Informa.

“The work the Channel Futures/Channel Partners team has done supporting DE&I in the tech channel has opened the door for the conversation and is helping to make change,” Danziger said. “I’m so proud of the dedication, creativity and commitment everyone has made.

“There is much to still be done and that’s what propels us to continue our work.”

“It is an incredible honor to be nominated and asked to speak on behalf of the Channel Partners team to discuss a topic we are so passionate about such as DE&I,” said Marks, who also participated in a panel discussion during the two-day TSNN event. “TSNN awards celebrate excellence in event innovation. The work we’ve done to expand our community and create an inclusive culture at our events and in our news coverage has really set the bar for other industries trying to tackle the issue of diversity.”
