In a report released on Thursday, EY (formerly Ernst & Young) looked at the impact of digital transformation on the landscape for technology mergers and acquisitions.
In the report, EY recapped the top 10 technology M&A deals of the year. 2016 marked a year of "record semiconductor consolidation driven by breakaway growth targeting IoT technologies," according to EY.
