DELL TECHNOLOGIES SUMMIT UNPLUGGED — Dell Technologies just made several product announcements that maintain its focus on edge computing. Chairman and CEO Michael Dell described the edge as “technology’s next great frontier.”

“It’s all around us,” said Dell, “everywhere from retail to manufacturing, smart cities and hospitals.”

The goal, says Dell, is to help customers simplify deployments and capture more value from data that organizations generate and process outside the data center and public cloud.

IDC estimates that businesses will deploy one-half of new IT infrastructure at the edge by 2023. Dell says 69% of the Fortune 100 are already using its edge solutions.
