Oracle Sustainability Innovation Awards: Nominations Due June 21
Did you know that the very first Earth Day saw 20 million Americans take to the streets? That’s a lot of civic interest in a pilot initiative. One would hope that if we were counting, that turnout would be double or triple today. Especially given the current changes in our earth’s climate patterns.
Environmental awareness and protection are topics that should be on our minds year-round, but we’re reminded of it a little extra throughout the month of April. Our peers may volunteer to pick up trash, social media may have us re-tweeting an inspirational green initiative, and your organization may be reminding you to sort your office waste each day. These reminders are positive and can help move the needle, but how about taking an extra step this year?
Are you working with a customer that is using an Oracle product to help with a sustainability initiative while reducing costs? Saving energy? Saving gas? Saving water? Your customer may use Oracle Cloud solutions to drive down power consumption, Oracle Transportation Management to reduce fleet emissions, analytics to report on environmental performance, the internet of things to monitor environmental impacts in real time, big data to optimize environmental performance, or one of many other products.
Submit a nomination form by Friday June 21, 2019, if your customer is using any Oracle product to take an environmental lead, as well as to reduce costs and improve business efficiencies using green business practices. Oracle Executive Vice Chairman of the Board Jeff Henley and Oracle Chief Sustainability Officer Jon Chorley will present these awards at Oracle OpenWorld 2019 in San Francisco (September 15-19).
We hope to learn about what you and your customers are doing in the sustainability space, and we hope to see you at OOW in San Francisco this fall. By nominating a customer now, we can keep environmentalism, sustainability, and our earth top of mind beyond just April.
