Oracle Database Appliance X3-2: Hitting New Heights

Oracle Database Appliance is back and better than ever with the latest release of the Oracle Database Appliance X3-2. Not only does this machine offer a boost in hardware configuration, it also extends the use of Oracle Database Appliance to application workloads using the virtualized platform. It is an engineered system consisting of hardware and software that will save customers time and money by simplifying deployment, maintenance and support of high availability database solutions.

The new Oracle Datable Appliance X3-2 has more processing power and an increased memory, CPU and the ability to support multiple databases, mid-tier and application workloads through a virtualized platform. With a capacity on-demand licensing, customers can scale up for database and applications based on their business needs. There is also an option to add additional storage capacity through Oracle Database Appliance storage expansion shelf or connect to ZFS.

The Oracle Database Appliance X3-2 with virtualization can host a complete solution in a single appliance, which means software partners and ISVs can build a solution-in-a-box with both the database and application in the appliance and deploy it quickly at the customer location. Since the virtualization on the Oracle Database Appliance X3-2 is based on Oracle VM, all applications, operating systems and Oracle VM templates supported by Oracle VM are also supported on the appliance.

Watch the webcast replay on the Oracle Database Appliance to learn more about the product and discover the new sales opportunities. For a more customer-centric presentation on Oracle Database Appliance, register for the upcoming launch webcast, slated for April 3.

Best of all, from now until May 31, Oracle partners can purchase the Oracle Database Appliance demo unit at a discounted price. So let Oracle Database Appliance X3-2 do the heavy lifting and take your business to new heights.
