FY2016: It’s Time to Embrace and Grow with the Cloud
Businesses today are operating in a world of disrupt or be disrupted. The cloud has lowered the barrier to entry to adopt new technologies that can accelerate how companies keep up with this rapid pace of change.
Customer experience is also transforming very quickly, and it seems to be driven by two things simultaneously: technology transformation and the uprising of digital and mobile. Customer experience is fast becoming the new competitive playing field. According to Gartner, almost 90 percent of companies expect customer experience will be “their primary basis for competition” within the next two years.
That said, there is an enormous opportunity for channel partners to innovate and deliver increased value to their own customers, faster than ever before.

Oracle Broadens Its Cloud Portfolio with More than 24 New Services
On June 22, Oracle’s Larry Ellison announced new additions to the Oracle Cloud Platform, a comprehensive, integrated suite of services that make it easier for developers, IT professionals, business users and analysts to build and extend cloud applications. With more than 24 new cloud services, the Oracle Cloud Platform extends Oracle’s leadership with the world’s broadest and deepest portfolio of SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.
The Oracle Cloud Platform helps customers build new applications, extend existing ones and easily move existing on-premises workloads to the cloud with no application changes. The services are designed to maximize end user experience and productivity; enable developers to manage and analyze data, and rapidly develop, test and deploy applications; enable architects to quickly integrate across on-premises and cloud applications; and enable business users to drive rich business insights and enterprise collaboration.
With the Oracle Cloud Platform, partners and their customers can take advantage of Oracle middleware and database software that thousands of global organizations already use to run their own businesses, all delivered via cloud. The high level of automation that has been engineered into the Oracle Cloud results in faster time-to-value, greater innovation and lower cost for customers.
Oracle Emphasizes Cloud Transformation During Annual Partner Kickoff
During Oracle’s FY16 Global Partner Kickoff webcast on June 23, Oracle armed partners with the strategies and information needed to embrace the cloud and profit with Oracle in FY16 and beyond.
The event highlighted how partners can leverage new and existing OPN enablement resources to enhance the expertise of their key team members.
The interactive forum provided partners an:
- Update on Oracle’s channel strategy and direction for fiscal year 2016;
- Strategies on how to leverage Oracle’s cloud portfolio, Oracle engineered systems and Internet of Things technologies to differentiate themselves from the competition and drive better results for customers;
- Overview of new OPN enablement, specialization and incentive offerings.
Oracle Cloud continues to show strong adoption, supporting 70+ million users and 31 billion transactions each day. It runs on 40,000 devices and 600 petabytes of storage in 19 data centers around the world. Additionally, Oracle Cloud products represent one of the faster growing areas of specialization and certification across Oracle’s more than 26,000 partners.
