And, Now, a Word from Our Partners

Here at eFolder, we know that partners love hearing from other partners–that’s why we organize so many webinars featuring some of our best partners. But what, exactly, attracts MSPs to other MSPs? We believe partners are so eager to hear from their peers because they want inspiration on how to take full advantage of eFolder products and services. To that end, here are the stories of two partners who have managed to become more profitable and solve problems for their clients using eFolder Anchor, our business-grade file sync solution; eFolder Backup, our file-level backup service; and eFolder BDR for ShadowProtect, a robust BDR solution.

Zach Mesel, Wooden Spoon Technologies

Zach’s clients were having a number of issues that they couldn’t quite figure out how to solve. One client, an architecture firm, had a remote employee that needed an easy way to access files on the main office’s file server without using VPN. Another land surveying company needed employees at two different offices to be able to access separate file servers, and the company needed to ensure all data between the two file servers stayed in sync. Yet another client, a medical practitioner, needed to ensure the files he had on his laptop were backed up to a separate workstation.

Fortunately, Wooden Spoon Technologies managed to solve all of these clients’ issues–and more–using eFolder Anchor. Using File Server Enablement, a feature unique to Anchor, Zach and his team cloud-enabled his clients’ file servers. This helped the remote employee at the architecture firm access files on the file server through a file sync team share; ensured that the two sites at the land surveying company always remained in sync; and assisted the medical practitioner in keeping large files between his laptop and workstation in sync.

Zach did what every good MSP does: He evaluated his clients’ needs and came up with a creative and unique solution to meet their goals. Says Zach: “Anchor lets us solve problems that our clients didn’t have the will or knowledge to solve themselves. … That made us rock stars.”

Ugo Chiulli, Progressive Computing

MSPs still dealing with tape backups, read closely. Ugo Chiulli feels your pain. For years, he struggled to get his clients off tape backups and move them toward a more modern backup solution–one that could save Progressive Computing from high labor costs and help Chiulli sleep better at night. But at the same time, Chiulli knew “one size does not fit all,” so he decided to adopt both eFolder Backup, a file-level backup service, and eFolder BDR for ShadowProtect, a state-of-the-art business continuity solution. Adopting these solutions really helped Progressive Computing meet its commitments to clients.

One client that benefited tremendously from Progressive Computing’s deployment of eFolder BDR for ShadowProtect was a cannoli bakery. “The bakery called us in a panic one day,” Chiulli recalls, “because their entire building was on fire.” While the client did everything on its end to keep production running, borrowing equipment from a competitor across the street, Progressive Computing did its part by recovering and restoring the bakery’s entire computing environment within an hour using eFolder BDR for ShadowProtect. “We saved their cannoli,” says Chiulli, smiling.

Progressive Computing knows firsthand how important it is to move clients off obsolete systems, even if clients don’t realize the downsides of sticking to outdated technology. Even worse than the slow recovery time of tape, says Chiulli, is the lack of true business continuity that tape offers: “If the client didn’t have regular off-site backup, a disaster would have wiped them out.” Better safe than sorry, says Progressive Computing.
