Unitrends is now offering a new hybrid cloud disaster recovery-as-a-service (DRaaS) solution to its customers.

Unitrends, backed by Insight Venture Partners, this week introduced Unitrends DRaaS, an offering designed to enable live spin-ups of physical and virtual environments within the same cloud to provide full recovery of entire IT infrastructures in the cloud.

It also provides customers with automated testing and certification of recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs).

Unitrends DRaaS offers a standby environment in the secure No Limits Cloud, a solution that replicates on-premise appliances.

Unitrends DRaaS is available as an annual or a monthly recurring subscription service.

Unitrends in May announced its acquisition of Yuruware, an Australia-based cloud services provider (CSP) that specializes in disaster recovery and migration tools for Amazon Web Services (AWS), OpenStack and other public clouds.
