Storage systems provider X-IO Technologies has announced a storage contract agreement with The Cooperative Purchasing Network (TCPN), a national governmental purchasing cooperative.

First, a little about TCPN. The TCPN membership, which is open to both non-profit and public customers, provides members with the national leveraged pricing at no cost to the member. The network said TCPN members can take advantage of one of the largest pools of purchasing potential.

The new agreement enables TCPN to resell X-IO data storage solutions to both non-profit and public customers, including private schools, colleges, universities, cities, and counties.

X-IO Vice President of Marketing Blair Parkhill said in his prepared remarks that government agencies can leverage the company's extensive experience in intelligence storage.

"This will not only simplify storage planning but will also reduce the ongoing operating cost of any IT infrastructure through reduced power and cooling and our unique ability to offer full performance at full capacity," he said. "We are honored to be selected by TCPN’s lead agency as their storage vendor of record."

This is the second consecutive contract that X-IO has been awarded from TCPN.
