Splunk (SPLK) is now offering its software-as-a-service (SaaS) cloud-based operational intelligence platform through Amazon Web Services (AWS) globally.

The San Francisco-based company today announced that Splunk Cloud is generally available internationally through nine AWS global regions and will be available soon in AWS GovCloud for U.S. government agencies, contractors and businesses.

“[This] partnership with AWS allows us to take advantage of AWS’s global footprint to extend the reach of Splunk Cloud to new geographies and new markets,” a Splunk spokesperson told Talkin’ Cloud. “It means more organizations will be able to benefit from our enterprise-ready cloud service, giving them a centralized view of cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments, and helping them gain operational intelligence from the analysis of machine data.”

The spokesperson also noted that the partnership between Splunk and AWS “is based on the critical need for operational visibility to enable customers to migrate to AWS with confidence.”

Marc Olesen, Splunk’s senior vice president and general manager of cloud solutions, added that offering Splunk Cloud through AWS ensures organizations “can now take advantage of centralized visibility” across various cloud environments and reap the rewards of SaaS.
