SAP Expands Certified Solutions on AWS
SAP (SAP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have expanded on their existing partnership by enabling SMBs to leverage additional SAP-certified solutions on the AWS Cloud.
Headquartered in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, the enterprise application software solutions provider on Tuesday said its SMB customers now have the option to deploy and run SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA, on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances.
Both companies said customers won’t need to make long-term commitments or purchase capital expenditures for underlying infrastructure to take advantage of this opportunity.

“We have seen a dramatic acceleration of customers running their mission-critical SAP software on the AWS Cloud,” said Peter Mauel, global alliance leader at AWS, in a prepared statement. “The added ability to now run SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA, on AWS allows these customers to garner the same benefits that our existing common customers already realize. Namely, how the running of key SAP enterprise solutions, in production on the AWS cloud, helps drive business agility and innovation into business and can reduce the total cost of ownership.”
SAP partners using AWS will have access to the developer edition of SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA. This allows SAP users to begin development and porting of add-on solutions and other application extensions.
