PanTerra Networks is launching a recurring revenue affiliate program for channel partners that resell its file sharing and unified communications solutions. Here's how it works.

PanTerra Networks is launching a recurring revenue affiliate program for channel partners that resell its file sharing and unified communications solutions. Here’s how it works.

PanTerra is offering a freemium model of its SmartBox file sync and share cloud service. Partners can lead with the free version of SmartBox and then receive automatic credit and recurring revenue when customers upgrade their service.

Each channel partner is provided with its own url for the free version of SmartBox. If a partner’s customer signs up for the service through the customized URL and then becomes a paying customer, that partner will automatically receives the ongoing recurring revenue from the account.

PanTerra Networks CEO Artie Chang told Talkin’ Cloud that the company is the “first file sharing cloud provider whose primary channel is the indirect channel.”

“We partner with VARs, Agents, Master Agents and Wholesale private label partners,” he said. “We believe this is the ideal channel to reach the mid-market enterprises PanTerra Networks is targeting.”

To continue acquiring customers, the company plans to deliver more cloud-based services and provide additional partner programs to its channel partners, Chang added.
