Panda Security, a cloud security solutions provider, unveiled new features for its Panda Cloud Systems Management (PCSM) remote monitoring and management (RMM) solution. The latest version of PCSM allows administrators to manage Linux, Mac and Windows devices, along with smartphones and tablets.

PCSM is a cloud-based solution that’s designed to provide “out-of-the-box simplicity,” according to Panda Security. In addition, Panda Security claims that PCSM helps businesses proactively manage their IT resources and reduce their IT costs.

Here are some of PCSM’s features:

  • Patch management

  • Real-time monitoring and warnings

  • Software deployment

  • Software license management

  • Tickets system

New PCSM features include printer management via Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), the ability to create activity logs, two-factor authentication to access the PCSM Web console and Linux device management for computers running Ubuntu and Red Hat. PCSM also supports remote access to network computers via a command line interface and includes system utilities such as Shell, Restart, Shutdown, File Transfer and Quick Jobs.

Manuel Santamaría, Product Manager Director at Panda Security, commented on PCSM’s new features in a prepared statement:

“The new features incorporated into PCSM deliver significant benefits to companies, easing IT management and reducing costs. With the launch of this new service, Panda Security reinforces its commitment to providing comprehensive solutions that reduce the complexity of security management. Thanks to Panda Cloud Systems Management, partners have an easy-to-use, centralized management tool that reduces maintenance time and costs, improves margins and revenue and provides added value for customers.”

Panda Security also is offering users the chance to win months of free protection for their consumer solutions based on the goals scored during the 2014 Soccer World Cup, which will take place in Brazil from June 12 to July 13. The World Cup giveaway runs until June 11 and rewards customers around the world with one month of free additional protection of the product they have previously purchased for each goal scored by the team they have chosen among World Cup participants.

“We love soccer and computer security, and we are sure this promotion will be very well received among users,” said Álvaro Elorriaga, Worldwide Retail Director at Panda Security, according to a press release. “We think it is an original and entertaining way to reward our customers, and also to establish a connection between international sports competitions and the multi-device protection that many of our products provide.”
