NetSuite (N) and SPS Commerce (SPSC) has announced a deeper integration of their product sets to provide intelligent commerce collaboration solutions for retailers.

“Streamlining the flow of information from supplier to retailer to consumer is vital to deliver a successful omnichannel experience,” NetSuite Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Zach Nelson said in a prepared statement. “The combined capabilities of NetSuite and SPS Commerce enable modern retailers to achieve omnichannel success through the close coupling of these two leading retail solutions.”

NetSuite provides cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) business management tools, while SPS Commerce offers supply chain management solutions. Archie Black, president and CEO of SPS Commerce, said integrating the NetSuite and SPS Commerce systems provides retailers with full visibility and automation across their supply chains.

“The flexibility and power of combining the SPS Commerce retail business network to NetSuite’s omnichannel commerce solution and back-office enterprise resource planning (ERP) delivers the critical capabilities for success,” Black said in a prepared statement.

The companies said the deeper integration between NetSuite and SPS Commerce is designed to offer “key capabilities to omnichannel retailers to foster intelligent collaboration and build an intelligent supply chain for omnichannel success.”

SPS Commerce claims the deeper integration’s benefits include:

  • Collaboration between retailers and suppliers

  • Scalable automation

  • The ability to share product information with customers

In addition, SPS Commerce said the deeper integration is built in the cloud to ensure retailers are always on the newest software release.

“The market is demanding scalable, powerful solutions that bring adaptability and reduce friction to grow,” Black said in a statement. “This is the next step in a successful partnership where NetSuite and SPS [Commerce] are uniquely poised to provide the nimble supply chain solutions needed for omnichannel retail.”

Beyond the Rack, Honey Stinger and Zumba Fitness are three of the retailers that currently leverage the NetSuite-SPS Commerce integration. SPS Commerce said its partnership with NetSuite, along with existing integrations between NetSuite and SPS Commerce’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solution, could help retailers prepare for the “omnichannel requirements of tomorrow.”
