IBackup says partners wanted more than just a referral program.

IBackup is rolling out a new version of its cloud-based backup solution for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), along with a new reseller initiative.

IBackup 10 includes updates to the IBackup client for Windows and Mac operating systems, a complete graphical facelift, one-touch backup and restore of mobile devices for iOS and Android, and built-in integration for MS-SQL, Exchange, SharePoint and other advanced server backups.

Additionally, for those interested in disaster recovery (DR), IBackup also included a DR feature that enables users to routinely send backed-up data to a secondary device.

IBackup Partner Program Business Development Coordinator Shane Bingham told Talkin' Cloud that the company's current referral partnership program is not enough for some partners.

"We do have some partners that are specifically looking to manage their users' backups and resell the product," he said.

To adapt to this growing need, IBackup has upgraded its partner program to include a new bulk reseller option which opens the opportunity for resellers to leverage IBackup architecture in their own service offering.

"With the new reseller program, we still provide full support to the end user, meaning the reseller can focus on what's most important for their business: collecting revenue, and generating new business," Bingham said.

Bingham noted that most of the company's customers are located in the U.S. and that more than 100,000 small businesses leverage IBackup.
