Endpoint backup, file sharing, data loss prevention and real-time analytics software vendor Druva has added multi-destination backup to its inSync private cloud, the company's endpoint data protection and governance platform, for high availability.

The new multi-destination backup and automatic failover capabilities aim to extend the benefits of the inSync Private Cloud for organizations using the inSync platform.

The enhanced capabilities include the following features:

  • Dual destination backups to primary and secondary servers with individually configurable backup schedules.

  • Automatic failover of backup and restore operations to the secondary site, enabling end users to access backed-up documents and other data even in disaster scenarios.

  • Periodic population of the secondary server by the primary, accelerating secondary backups while also reducing bandwidth needs.

Druva co-founder and CEO Jaspreet Singh said via email that organizations need access to data and can't afford downtime.

"The new inSync Private Cloud high availability feature enhances an organization's business continuity plan and ensures that end users will not experience productivity loss or an interruption to data access because of a storage device failure," he said.

Druva said the new most recent inSync edition has more than 70 enhancements.

The inSync Private Cloud can be managed by in-house IT staff or delivered as a managed service by a managed services provider (MSP). Both on-premise and public cloud deployments are available.

Deployment options include inSync's integrated suite of endpoint data backup, file sharing, data loss, prevention, and analytics solutions, designed to protect data on fixed and mobile endpoint devices.

Druva's channel sales account for about 20-30 percent of the company's overall sales.

The Druva partner program is available to referral, channel and technology partners.
