Virtual data center provider Bluelock has joined the Switch C.U.B.E (Cloud Ubiquitous Business Exchange) inside the Switch Cloud City to provide customers hosted at the Switch SuperNAP (network access point) with access to Bluelock’s services. The company said the partnership will provide customers running their own environments at the same datacenter with “true hybrid cloud deployment and recovery as a service (RaaS) capabilities.” Here are the details of the deal.

According to Bluelock, the partnership provides multi-tenancy with customers within the datacenter, as well as the option to leverage services across various providers. Customers with Bluelock virtual data centers in the Las Vegas Switch SuperNAP also have access to a variety of the Switch Cloud City services. In return, Switch customers can gain access to Bluelock’s RaaS solution by replicating to Bluelock’s Indianapolis data center.

Bluelock CTO Pat O’Day said in his prepared remarks that Bluelock partnered with Switch to gain a strong west coast data center presense.

“The SuperNAP represents innovation, security and reliability for more than 600 global customers,” he said. “Switch is a clear leader in the data center market, and we are excited about this partnership and our involvement in Switch Cloud City.”

“Bluelock brings many years of cloud experience and leading edge virtual datacenter solutions to the ecosystem and we’re thrilled their expertise will enable true hybrid cloud deployments for current and future customers of Switch,” said Jason Mendenhall, executive vice president of cloud at Switch, in a prepared statement.

The Switch C.U.B.E is an ecosystem of cloud providers that have co-located their infrastructure in the Switch SuperNAP. The SuperNAP is a data center with access to multiple carrier networks, providing redundancy in connectivity.

Bluelock also recently unveiled its 4-Series Virtual Datacenter RaaS offering as a new option for end-customers to choose from in the beginning of May.
