Alert Logic co-founder and CSO Misha Govshteyn says partners can now provide customers with security solutions across various managed IT environments.

Cloud-based security as a service solutions provider Alert Logic has added new capabilities to its Alert Logic Threat Manager and Alert Logic Web Security Manager solutions to further its commitment to supporting hybrid datacenters for various IT environments.

Alert Logic Threat Manager and Alert Logic Web Security Manager now provide partners with a singular hybrid security solution to address threats in both cloud and on-premises infrastructures.

Instead of only offering one option, Alert Logic Web Security Manager now offers two options: a Web application firewall (WAF) that supports AWS Autoscaling functionality and an AWS Marketplace option that can be self-deployed.

Updates to Alert Logic Threat Manager allow customers to deploy the same intrustion detection system (IDS) solution across their IT environments, including on-premises, hosted on-premises and cloud. It now also comes with physical appliances that accept more than 10 GBPS traffic.

Alert Logic co-founder and chief security officer (CSO) Misha Govshteyn said in an interview that partners should expect Alert Logic this year to continue its focus on “delivering enhancements and solutions designed to support hybrid IT environments,” he said.

Additionally, the company will make providing more support for additional cloud environments a priority.

Alert Logic made the announcement at the AWS Summit in San Francisco.
