Tech Data continues to expand and utilize its Practice Builder methodology. The distributor broadened its Cisco offerings for U.S. partners with expansion of the Tech Data Cisco Partner Enablement Framework, designed to help partners grow their Cisco practice. It builds on Tech Data’s Practice Builder methodology.

The latest offer is targeted at new Cisco partners, existing ones interested in building out their practices and large two-tier partners who want to diversify with technical specialization, vertical expertise or geographic expansion, according to the distributor.

“Rapid changes across vertical markets and within technology are creating opportunities for our Cisco partners, but understanding which are worth pursuing for each one takes additional insight,” said Angie McCourt, vice president, Cisco Solutions, at Tech Data. “Outcome-based solutions that target end customers’ needs to solve real-world business problems epitomize Cisco’s and Tech Data’s expectations of how our partners can effectively add value to the channel. When our partners connect, collaborate and utilize our enablement framework, they are consistently seeing more than 15 percent higher annual growth — plus, they grow more profitably.”

Tech Data introduced its Practice Builder methodology to partners in November 2017. The methodology provides a customized approach designed to accelerate growth in high-growth practice areas, such as next-generation technologies such as cloud, security, IoT, analytics and mobility. In March, Tech Data announced a HealthPath program for partners that is based on enhancements to its Practice Builder methodology.

The Cisco Partner Enablement Framework incorporates the company’s “Core” training phase, “Momentum” business-building phase and “Boost” market-acceleration phase for Cisco partners at various points in the life cycle of their business. The framework also supports sales team development and training, as well as specialization certifications.

Tech Data’s Practice Builder objectives are to help partners succeed by understanding the holistic needs of their business customers, offer the right combination of specialized solutions and services, enhance partners’ ability to offer assessments, consulting services, managed services and education, and deliver scalable solutions that support what their customers.

Practice Builder is also designed to minimize risk for partners expanding or building new portfolio practices, help them differentiate themselves and have an integrated marketing plan to promote their value, according to Tech Data.

Tech Data’s Cisco partnership helps digital service providers with a broad array of Cisco offers such as collaboration, data center, enterprise networks, IoT, security, Cisco services, professional services, and vertical acceleration.
