VIPRE Security on Wednesday revealed the winners of its first annual Partner Awards program honoring providers that have shown “solid, consistent engagement and value to the channel security ecosystem.”

“These awards are reserved for VIPRE partners that are truly exceptional and their accomplishments should be viewed as examples of excellence for other VIPRE partners,” said Marya Munir, VIPRE’s senior director of channel marketing. “Their achievements are based on delivery of the highest level of protection to their end customers, sales performance, potential sales growth and overall engagement.”

The 2017 winners, assessed across five categories, are as follows:

  • 5 Star Advanced Protection Partner of the Year — Rain Networks. As VIPRE’s top-performing partner, Rain Networks delivered the highest level of VIPRE protection and the best overall sales engagement. “Rain Networks is thrilled to be named the VIPRE’s 5 Star Advanced Protection Partner of the Year,” said Nathan Ware, its CEO/CTO. “Our respective companies have similar business philosophies and it’s not surprising to me that we are successful together. The most encouraging part of our partnership is that I have no doubt that our best days with VIPRE are ahead of us. All the products are fantastic and we expect a large sector of our clients to adopt VIPRE Cloud as their endpoint security product moving forward.”

  • Emerging Partner of the Year – DII Computers and Entré Computer Solutions. This award recognizes partners with the strongest new sales growth with VIPRE Cloud and commitment to developing a progressive security practice.

  • Rising Star MSP of the Year – Intellicomp Technologies. VIPRE said a historical partnership, active engagement and early adoption of its managed endpoint security offerings show Intellicomp’s “solid understanding of key drivers enabling a scalable and sustainable security practice.”

  • Distributor of the Year - Nuvias Cyber Security. As the distributor with the strongest annual revenue growth, engagement and sales support, Nuvias played a key role in VIPRE’s 2017 partner recruitment strategy.
