D&H Adds SMB Benefits to Cisco Pro Enablement Program

  • Written by Channel
  • October 24, 2016
D&H says the enhancements will support resellers and offer them benefits that can help them increase their sales of Cisco solutions.

PRESS RELEASE — HARRISBURG, PA – October 24, 2016 – D&H Distributing, the leading North American computer products and consumer electronics distributor, announces it is enhancing its Cisco PRO (“Partner Revenue Opportunities”) program to support resellers and offer benefits that can help them increase their sales of Cisco® solutions. The distributor has added a unique SMB tier to the Cisco PRO membership levels with benefits that cater to its resellers selling into the SMB marketplace, as well as accommodating those who are contemplating a foray into managed services. This tier of support delivers benefits that differentiate D&H as a qualified destination for Cisco SMB solutions, helping VARs to differentiate their offerings and more easily add lucrative services based on this vendor’s sophisticated SMB portfolio.

One of the most practical and beneficial offerings in the new Cisco PRO Small Business tier is support for Cisco’s FindIT Network Discovery Utility. This enables resellers to discover, manage and troubleshoot Cisco® Small Business products in their end-customers’ networks, simplifying the search for basic equipment information such as IP addresses and serial numbers with the simple addition of an intuitive web browser side bar. Other amenities of the Cisco PRO structure include automated marketing campaigns; plus training and consultation to familiarize VARs with SMB business products and workplace environments, including no-cost access to the D&H SBO (Selling Business Outcomes) for Cisco course. Additional Cisco PRO partner tiers include Cisco Registered, Select and Premier partner levels.

In addition to new SMB-based resources, D&H will host a two-day D&H Partner Summit for the top growth partners in each Cisco PRO tier. The event gives these top-performing VARs an opportunity to convene with the D&H-Cisco executive team for strategic planning sessions and reseller recognition activities. D&H-Cisco partners who achieve the highest percentage growth beyond their tier’s assigned baseline goals (as accumulated between October 1, 2016 and April 30, 2017) will be invited to participate in the summit. One partner in this select group will win the Grand Prize of a three-year lease on a 2017 Buick Envision Premium SUV.{ad}

D&H’s overall Cisco PRO enablement platform will encompass a greater range of services going forward, with offerings ranging from Bill of Materials support, marketing materials, no-cost certification and available sales specialists; on up to inventory forecasting, discounts; and customized, on-site training, depending upon …

… the tier.

The new “PRO Small Business” Tier includes:

  • Full service, integrated marketing enablement support, including marketing automation.
  • Cloud-based management sales opportunities through Cisco’s Small Business FindIT Network Discovery Utility
  • No-cost small business outcomes (SBO) training
  • Product configuration and reference guides
  • Flexible credit options to facilitate new business

Legacy program tiers and benefits include:

  • PRO Registered Partners – These benefits apply to all partner levels: Distributor sales visibility services including instant booking credit; pre-sales support; managed services such as wireless site surveys and security monitoring; D&H’s Partner Services marketing materials; custom marketing support; dedicated sales specialists; Cisco-hosted webinar training and education; optimized SKU selection; and partner roundtable discussions via a Partner Advisory Council.
  • PRO Select Partners receive the above benefits, plus: on-demand Cisco OIP (Opportunity Incentive Program) training; priority access to D&H’s System Engineer (SE) Tech Support Hotline; virtual training with D&H SEs; and inventory forecasting with a D&H Planning Specialist.
  • PRO Premier Partners receive all the above benefits, plus: on-site training from D&H SEs; performance-paid Express Collaboration Specialization to help resellers sell, design, install and support the Cisco BE6K portfolio of products and Cisco TelePresence® solutions; and full-service market enablement including cutting-edge marketing automation.

“Cisco PRO offers a powerful menu of services, which D&H has developed to bring more value to the table as a distribution partner offering these sophisticated Cisco SMB solutions. These services are in alignment with our overall cloud solutions and SMB Blueprints offerings,” said Peter DiMarco, vice president of VAR sales at D&H Distributing. “Our new Cisco PRO small business resources are more tailored to compliment the type of services that the typical D&H reseller is offering, giving them more appropriate tools with which to gain a competitive edge. We’re honored to combine forces with a major channel leader such as Cisco to endow resellers with the support that will help them expand their opportunities.”

“We’re excited by the opportunity to work with D&H on the enhanced PRO enablement program. This ongoing effort will help our mutual customers grow their businesses by targeting specific enablement offerings such as training, support, marketing, and financing,” said Marty Wachi, senior director product management, Cisco Small Business. “This D&H campaign comes at a terrific time for SMB partners, given the release of our Cisco FindIT Network Discovery Utility. FindIT is specifically designed to help partners identify and manage Cisco SMB products, and can help these same partners make an entrance into a managed services offering. We are working closely with D&H to integrate FindIT into the distributor’s new PRO Enablement effort, so our MSP and VAR partners can better differentiate their practices and increase their profitability.”

D&H customers can call (800) 340-1001or visit www.dandh.com/CiscoPartner for more information on Cisco PRO enablement.
