Top Partners: Best of the Best 1H 2018 — AT&T, Intelisys, Spectrum, More

  • Written by Craig Galbraith
  • May 29, 2018
The honors range from companies that broke into "million-dollar clubs" for the first time, to those being among the biggest revenue-generators for suppliers and master agents.

We’re still a month away from the halfway point of the year, but with all of the awards doled out to partner businesses and channel executives since Jan. 1 – for their work in 2017 and early 2018 – we didn’t want to wait to put together this roundup of the very best partners.

The honors range from companies that broke into “million-dollar clubs” for the first time, to those being among the biggest revenue-generators for suppliers and master agents. And we at Channel Partners got into the act by dishing out our Circle of Excellence and CP360° awards at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in April.

Miss our last “Best of the Best update? It’s here.

Start your summer by scrolling through our gallery below to see the businesses that were recognized by TPx, AT&T, Spectrum Enterprise, Intelisys and many more.

Avaya

Avaya named Arrow, Carousel and AT&T among its channel and vendor partners of the year at its Engage event in New Orleans.

“By continuing to focus on innovation and giving our customers the tools they need to transform their business, we will succeed together," said channel chief Gary Levy.

Avaya is bouncing back in 2018 after almost a full year in chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

ACC Business

ACC Business, AT&T's boutique channel program, announced that Telarus and Intelisys are the first two members of its "multimillion-dollar club."

They previously were billing more than $1 million monthly for ACC, but upped their game early this year. PlanetOne Communications and MicroCorp are other masters that have cracked $1 million monthly, but Telarus and Intelisys stand alone at the top of ACC's food chain.

AT&T Alliance Channel

AT&T recognized a whopping 75 partners at its 2018 Alliance Channel kickoff, but only four achieved platinum-partner status, the highest tier within the Alliance Channel program.

BCDR Solutions, HLP 1, Presto Tech Solutions and Saturn Wireless were those companies. It's Presto Tech's fourth straight year as a platinum winner.

We have the list of gold tier honorees here.

Channel Partners Conference & Expo

We at Channel Partners handed out a number of awards to our supplier and master-agent exhibitors and sponsors at the conclusion of the Channel Partners Conference & Expo.

Office Depot took home hardware as Best New Exhibitor, while Vonage was crowned for Best Booth Design. Click here to learn about the other 12 winners.
RingCentral's Ben Swanson
Intelisys

Intelisys added a 15th partner business to its elite platinum-status ranks. Platinum means a company has reached $1 million in monthly recurring revenue on behalf of the master agent.

Massachusetts-based ROI Communications is the latest to get the nod — the first such New England partner to achieve it. ROI has worked with Intelisys since 2012.

"Without this group of incredible people, this milestone would not have been met," said Joe DeStefano, ROI president. "We have much to celebrate and new targets to hit."

Learn more about ROI's success with Intelisys here.
TPx's Michelle Hermann
Spectrum Enterprise

Spectrum Enterprise kicked off 2018 by announcing that MicroCorp had become a member of its million-dollar club for reaching $1 million in monthly recurring revenue with the cable company.

Michelle Kadlacek, Spectrum Enterprise’s senior director of channel partner sales, said MicroCorp has “perennially been a key partner and an advisory council member for the Spectrum Partner Program, so it is fitting that they would reach this substantial milestone.”

Channel Partners 360°

The Channel Partners 360° Business Value Awards are the channel's most prestigious honors for partners. Going beyond the biggest sale, these awards go to companies that show how they created business value for a customer.

Just for partners – agents, VARs, dealers, systems integrators, MSPs, solutions providers and consultants – the CP360° goes to those with a well-rounded portfolio and a proven track record of providing holistic technology solutions.

We recognized 25 such businesses during a networking reception at the 2018 Channel Partners Conference & Expo. See our pics from the event here, then go here to learn how to apply for our 2019 edition.
Tech Data's Stacy Nethercoat
Sungard AS

Sungard Availability Services recognized channel and vendor partners with its Partner Performance Awards.

The data center and backup-and-recovery provider celebrates those that have “excelled at both execution and customer service while helping customers solve IT transformation problems so they can accelerate business.”

Dell EMC, AWS and Bridgepointe Technologies all made Sungard AS' list. See who else did and why.

Digium

Digium, the VoIP and UC provider, honored a handful of partners based on sales from 2017 and their "commitment to excellent customer satisfaction."

Digium's partners are certified to sell Switchvox UC on-premises and cloud services, SIP trunking, IP desktop phones, gateways and telephony cards.

Among the winners are familiar names in distribution such as CDW and Jenne. See who else made it.

Channel Partners Influencers

We recognized the inaugural class of Channel Partners/Channel Influencers this year in a special digital issue of Channel Partners magazine. We followed that up with a print issue where we revealed our 2018 Channel Influencer of the Year, Gavriella Schuster of Microsoft.

We also recognized the top technologies, companies and trends to watch in 2018. See who and what made the list.
Datapipe's Robb Allen
Riverbed

Riverbed, at its Partner Summit in Huntington Beach, California, recognized 22 Partner of the Year awards based on global and regional impact. The winners were nominated by Riverbed executives.

They included Dimension Data for Global Account Penetration Partner of the Year, Presidio for Americas Customer Acquisition Partner of the Year and Tech Data for Americas Distributor the Year. Orange Business and Teneo were both double-winners. Click here to see what their honors were for and who else made Riverbed's honor roll.

SAP

Sixty-eight regional SAP vendor and ISV partners were honored at the company's Field Kick-Off Meeting events around the globe. Categories were overall sales, innovation, technology, services and solution-specific areas.

Cloud Girls

The nonprofit Cloud Girls, in partnership with the Alliance of Channel Women, recognized a "Trailblazer" (Lisa Del Real, RingCentral) and a "Rising Star" (Jeanine Sicinski, RapidScale) as two women showing leadership and innovation in the emerging cloud space. The honors were handed down at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo.

Del Real was lauded for being a role model and mentor to colleagues and others in the partner community; Sicinski for being an up-and-comer showing initiative in advancing cloud and next-gen technology.
