No doubt that’s why vendors, master agents and distributors host parties for their solution providers at Channel Partners Evolution; in fact, there are usually so many that you’re forced to choose which to attend.
You also like free stuff. Every show, exhibitors dial up some big giveaways. This year, the goodies you can win range from gift cards to tech gifts, trips — and even hoverboards!

WTG (Booth 1217)
WTG’s pop-up Austin Arcade will be open on Wednesday, Sept. 27 from 6-10 p.m. The arcade – located inside the Courtyard by Marriott in Downtown Austin – has been infiltrated by hackers. As a guest of the arcade, your mission, if accepted, is to crack the code and save gamers from the ultimate security threat — complete devastation!
Inside the arcade, you will find classic arcade games, plenty of food, drink, prizes and a live DJ spinning the classics. The event is being hosted by WTG and its gold sponsors: Data Foundry, Granite, INAP, Managed Solution and NuAge Energy; silver sponsor: exede by ViaSat; and bronze sponsors: Convergia and Tata Communications.
WTG’s Austin Arcade is open to WTG agent partners, guests and sponsoring providers. Drop by Booth 1217 to pick up your invitation and/or sign up to become a WTG agent, so you can attend.
Meantime, the master agent is giving away two tickets to its 20th annual holiday event, Dec. 7-8, in Palm Springs, California. Again, stop by their booth to meet the WTG and NuAge Energy teams. Drop your business card in the lucky fish bowl for your chance to win the trip. The prize package includes round-trip airfare for two, a two-night stay at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa, plus golf for two.
The winner will be chosen at booth 1217 on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 11:30 a.m. Need not be present to win.
Frontier is giving away an Amazon Echo. Just drop your business card off at booth 924. The winner will get a call on Thursday, Sept. 28, so they can pick up their prize before they head home.
RingCentral is hosting a party on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at the Cedar Street Courtyard, 208 W. 4th St., from 7 p.m.-12 a.m. No ticket is required; just wear your Channel Partners Evolution badge.
The bash will feature the Spazmatics, which bill themselves as the "ultimate new wave 80s show."
Broad Sky Networks is teaming up with Hypercore Networks and the Zayo Group to host the ATX River Boat Cruise and Bat Watching Happy Hour on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
The event will feature a uniquely Austin experience aboard the Lone Star riverboat. Participants will enjoy samples from a few of Texas’ finest breweries, distilleries and wineries, paired with appetizers while enjoying the breathtaking sight of nearly 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats that live under the Congress Avenue Bridge.
The cruise, on Lady Bird Lake, is free and open to all attendees. Excursion times are 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Shuttle buses from the convention center and the Hilton will run at 5:15 pm and 7:15 pm with return transport also available. Seating is extremely limited, and participants are urged to register online to secure a seat. Imagine you’re standing on the rooftop of an iconic Austin venue overlooking historic 6th Street. The sound of the music is briefly overtaken by the crowd cheering as a man still in khakis and a polo shirt with his company’s logo on it, defeating the mechanical bull. The blue flood lights catch the smoke rising from the barbecue. You grab a local craft beer from the open bar and cheers to another successful Channel Partners show.

Ingram Micro wants you to win an Xbox One. They'll scan your badge at their booth for a shot at the gaming console. Sponsored by Microsoft, the winner will be notified via email a week after the show.
If you don't win an Xbox from Ingram Micro, maybe you can from rival distributor Tech Data. Stop by their booth and get your badge scanned for a raffle ticket, then come back at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28, when they'll hold a drawing for the Xbox One S. You must be present to win.
8x8 is hosting the Moonshine Happy Hour at the Moonshine Grill! It's Tuesday, Sept. 26, from 5-8 p.m. The event happens at 303 Red River St. RSVP here.
Reinvent Telecom wants you to stop by their booth to enter to win a $100 gift card. Just drop your business card in their fishbowl. The drawing will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27, but you don't need to be present to win.
