SD-WAN, security and cloud — oh my!
The traditionally slow July offered up several relevant product and service announcements from channel-leaning companies. CenturyLink rolled out a new SD-WAN service, Level 3 teamed with Amazon and Rackspace announced support for Azure Stack. Those were just a few.

TelarusAn agreement between
Telarus and
Skyriver puts the latter's
broadband services in the hands of the former's partners. Telarus says Skyriver's technology will support additional devices on networks and the massive amounts of data they produce.
The master agent will immediately begin offering Skyriver’s broadband Internet, VPN and event bandwidth magnitude services to its partners.

Level 3Level 3 Communications introduced a single vendor-managed UC offering that runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) with end-to-end customer support provided by Level 3. With Amazon Chime delivered by Level 3, the companies say enterprises have access to an adaptable communications platform with Level 3 global service level agreements (SLAs).

CenturyLinkCenturyLink rolled out managed software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN) packages that will serve hybrid environments. The communications provider says the services will facilitate traffic flow across private MPLS networks and broadband Internet connections. Members of the CenturyLink Alliance Advantage partner program can sell the solution.

Cisco
Cisco released a new generation of servers that it says will lower costs and speed up application services delivery. The M5 Generation of the Cisco Unified Computing System uses the recently announced Intel Xeon Scalable processors. Cisco says the new processors improve memory and can increase the amount of workload data. Get more information on the M5 server generation.
Sungard AS
Sungard Availability Services launched a managed service that will help customers more easily move to Amazon Web Services (AWS). The disaster-recovery provider announced “Managed Cloud – Amazon Web Services,” which aims to simplify the cloud-migration process. The company says the managed services use a programmatic strategy to automate the environment and securely configure new accounts.

DellDell expanded its VDI portfolio with a combined announcement that includes a new Dell EMC hyperconverged appliance, a new Dell Latitude mobile thin client, Wyse management suite, and a new Wyse ThinOS — products that target the vendor’s cloud client-computing channel partners.

Rackspace
Rackspace is partnering with Pivotal to to provide a new enterprise solution called Managed Pivotal Cloud Foundry. Pivotal Cloud Foundry is a cloud-native platform that lets businesses build and deploy applications. Rackspace also launched support for businesses migrating workloads to Microsoft Azure Stack.

KasperskyKaspersky Lab released a new version of its Endpoint Security Cloud, a multi-tenant console for partners and MSPs overseeing customer cloud infrastructures remotely. The new release includes support for Macs and additional automation and management capabilities.

ExtraHopExtraHop, the provider of real-time IT analytics, released a new Threat ID bundle, which plugs into the ExtraHop platform. The bundle analyzes traffic in the data center to determine how companies are positioned to protect against threat vectors.

Kaseya
Kaseya launched Kaseya Powered Services, which it says will set it apart in delivering “Go-to-Market-in-a-Box” offerings for managed service providers. MSPs can now access AuthAnvil Security-as-a-Service and Traverse Network Monitoring-as-a-Service.

Arcserve
Arcserve expanded its product portfolio beginning with direct-to-cloud disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) and backup as a service (BaaS). The expansion is the result of Arcserve acquiring Zetta, the cloud data protection and disaster-recovery solutions company.

SolarWinds
SolarWinds, the provider of IT service management solutions to solution providers and MSPs, unveiled the MSP Manager mobile app, available for both Android and iOS. The app aims to provide instant access to all support tickets and customer information to help users quickly resolve issues from any location, at any time.
