Tech distributor SYNNEX Corp. kicked off a new era in cloud sales at its first Cloud Catalyst Conference last month at Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa in Las Vegas.
The conference opened with a team-building event where attendees made new connections and met new challenges, with plenty of food and libations. The Cloud Catalyst Conference featured a rich mixture of subject-matter experts, practical workshops and strategic community building among cloud partners, SYNNEX experts and vendors including Microsoft, Google, Dropbox and Symantec.
Cloud Catalyst is the gathering point for SYNNEX’s CLOUDSolv program, which centers on key ecosystems and value-added solutions and services, such as exposure to other partners, markets, and verticals; and cross-selling and upselling opportunities. This inaugural event was also the launch pad for SYNNEX’s new cloud-assessment services program.
By the close, SYNNEX says attendees better understood the trend lines and best bets for their cloud business. IDC predicts public IT cloud services will grow six times faster than the overall IT market over the next several years.
