About 15,000 customers, partners and others from around the globe descended on Orlando, Florida, this week for ServiceNow’s Knowledge17 conference. The event included keynotes, more than 400 breakout sessions, ExpoNow, the Pavilion and more.

During the conference, ServiceNow announced three key strategies for its partner community, and unveiled its new Intelligent Automation Engine. It also announced numerous new offerings as part of the next version of  its enterprise automation platform.

And on Wednesday, Universal Studios was transformed into one big party for Knowledge17 attendees.

The Pre-K17 Dinner drew ServiceNow execs, customers and partners.

John Donahoe, ServiceNow’s new president and CEO, and former eBay boss, said he sought input from customers globally, and was told their biggest priorities are: Build a digital workplace, digitize my enterprise, and deliver digital transformation.

Dave Wright, ServiceNow’s chief strategy officer, unveiled the vendor’s new Intelligent Automation Engine. Customers can prevent outages before they occur, automatically categorize and route incidents, predict future performance and benchmark performance against IT peers.

Abhijit Mitra, general manager of ServiceNow’s customer service management business unit, talked about the disconnect between companies thinking they deliver a great customer experience, and the actual number of customers who agree.

ServiceNow’s massive booth drew heavy crowds in the Knowledge17 Pavilion.

CreatorCon offered more than 80 technical demo-led breakout sessions and hands-on workshops for developers and architects of all levels.

Integrated Solutions Management’s booth in the ExpoNow showroom. Martin Burke, its president, said “what ServiceNow does is they continue to open windows, so the windows of opportunity become evergreen.”

MapAnything’s booth in the ExpoNow showroom. Brian Bachofner, its chief marketing officer, said ServiceNow is doing “extraordinarily well, with expansion really outside of the IT back office to really more business front-office user roles.”
