Vendors in the IT and telecom industries are working hard to fine-tune their indirect sales approaches. For Nutanix, that meant changing its definition of partner success. For OneLogin, that meant bolstering incentives.
Our latest roundup features a variety of company types and program enhancements. A recently acquired SD-WAN provider rolled out a new deployment program. A service provider announced a partnership with a distributor/master agency. Two companies unveiled new partner portals.

iTelecom
The California-based
master agent rolled out a new portal for agents and suppliers to interact.
The iAgent app provides a social media environment where carriers can provide updates for agents to see. Agents can customize the updates so that they don't get an avalanche of vendor emails.

T-Mobile
The "uncarrier" announced a formal channel program following its acquisition of Sprint.
The company caters to agents, resellers, MSPs, VARs, cloud partners and solution providers with its new program. The partner program operates under the T-Mobile for Business division. Also, channel executives said T-Mobile has upped its partner resources and support staff.
T-Mobile announced additional changes just a few days ago.

ScanSource
The South Carolina-based
distributor brought in new resources to help partners sell contact center.
ScanSource announced a partnership with three contact center consulting firms, which will assist ScanSource partners in closing more CCaaS and UCaaS deals. They'll also be able to help Intelisys agents, as ScanSource owns Intelisys.

Peerless Network
How does a 50%-plus residual commission sound?
Peerless Network unveiled a new partner portal last month. The portal, named Peerless Maximizer, helps partners build pricing profiles for customers and set percentage markups.

Silver Peak
The vendor unveiled certifications for partners to deploy its Unity EdgeConnect SD-WAN edge platform.
The Silver Peak Certified Deployment Partner (CDP) program puts partners through rigorous training for six possible certifications. Although all partners can sell the solution, only CDP-certified companies can deploy it for customers.
The announcement came not long after HPE announced plans to
acquire Silver Peak.

HP
The
IT giant pushed sustainability in its latest partner program update.
HP is working to join more than half of its partners to the "Impact" extension of its Amplify program. Amplify Impact assesses and trains partners on their environmental impact.
"It’s the first industry program to help partners assess and train in a meaningful way around [the impact] they can have on diversifying the IT channel partner ecosystem. We believe it’s a bold change for our industry and a change that is overdue,” an HP executive said.

OneLogin
The identity and access management
provider rolled out new partner rewards.
OneLogin unveiled the "2.0" version of its Accelerate program last month. The program raises the incentives for partners that heavily buy into OneLogin's vision. In fact, one executive called them "the highest incentive level of anyone in our space."

Consolidated Communications
The
service provider expanded its channel reach last month.
Consolidated announced a partnership with cloud distributor
Pax8. As a result, Pax8 will provide "resources, education and responsive support" for the vendor.

Tintri
Tintri's new partner program brings together components of three companies.
Features include deal registration and access to market-qualified leads. It also includes marketing resources.
The program update harnesses aspects of DataDirect Networks (DDN), which recently bought Tintri. In addition, DDN also bought Nextenta and IntelliFlash.

Nutanix
Nutanix is emphasizing capability and competency in its new partner program.
"It’s no longer about who sells the most or who’s the biggest,” said Christian Alvarez, global channel chief. The hyperconverged infrastructure provider unveiled Nutanix Elevate, which transforms its three tiers into cloud professional and cloud champion.

VoIP.ms
The Canadian
VoIP provider launched a partner program that will award recurring commissions.
The company's program targets companies that want to meet demand for VoIP services without making VoIP part of their business model. In particular, the program targets master agents, VARs, MSPs and IT integrators.
“This great offering reduces the barriers to the entry to such a minimal level that we believe partners will be able to easily refer their customers to VoIP.ms and generate a great payout,” an executive said.
