People on the Move

Channel People on the Move: TBI, RingCentral, CenturyLink, More

  • Written by Craig Galbraith
  • June 1, 2018
You'll also learn about new hires at TPx, PlanetOne, Broadvoice, Rackspace and many more.

We’ve got good news and bad news for the 23 people featured in our latest Channel People on the Move gallery.

Let’s start with the bad: Summer is upon us, and you might not be eligible for a long vacation. But that’s because … good news — you either just landed a new job or got promoted!

Scroll through our gallery below and you’ll learn about five new channel managers at TPx Communications; a bunch of new hires at master agents such as PlanetOne and TBI; and a big new international role for a RingCentral channel chief.

That’s far from all. Broadvoice, Rackspace and CenturyLink are among the other companies making key personnel moves in the channel that are highlighted here.

They’re the people working every day in the channel and those making important trickle-down decisions.

Don’t forget — we’re always updating our webpage that features people on the move.

Missed last month’s “people” gallery? Click here to see who was on the move in April.

Protiviti's D. Kall Loper
RingCentral's Ben Swanson

RingCentral made a big international move by opening a new office in Australia and appointing Ben Swanson, previously with ShoreTel, as director of channels in the region.

The company also added partners, including Google Premier partner Dialog Information Technology, to spearhead sales efforts Down Under.
PlanetOne's Tyler Kee

Eight-year Rackspace veteran Tyler Kee (pictured) joined PlanetOne to help up its cloud play. He is the master agent's new cloud solutions architect, tasked with working with partners as they go deeper into cloud technology.

Most recently Kee was a partner-sales specialist for Rackspace's Microsoft Platform and Collaboration business unit. Learn more about his new job at PlanetOne.

PlanetOne also promoted Jake Schuman to the role of director of sales for strategic accounts, and Ross Thompson to director of sales for the Americas.
TPx

TPx continued its rapid nationwide expansion with a number of new channel hires.

Clockwise from upper left: Scott Badgley, an Integra alum who is a new agent channel manager for the Pacific Northwest; Kristen Vick, who will support TPx partners as a channel manager covering Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas; Michelle Hermann, a Comtel vet who will support partners in New England; and Suzy Stuchell, formerly of Windstream, Charter and AT&T, a new TPx channel manager based in Miami.

Not pictured is Victoria Kleinman, another new channel manager, based in Orlando to support Florida partners.
TBI's Brigid O'Brien

Meet Brigid O'Brien, TBI's newest channel sales manager, responsible for the Southwest region. Of course, there's a good chance you already know this channel veteran who most recently worked as a regional sales manager for Verizon's channel and spent time with the other telco giant, AT&T, as well.

“I’m excited to be a part of the TBI team and to further build their partner presence in the Southwest region, O’Brien said. “I look forward to having a direct impact on taking the company to new heights.”
RapidScale's Dennis Martinez

As RapidScale's new director of technical support, Dennis Martinez brings 23 years of experience to the company, many of them with Cisco's technical-services organization in roles such as customer-support engineer and business-operations manager.

He most recently was global technology owner for Cisco's management and automation software group that supported teams in the U.S., Mexico, Costa Rica and India.
Broadvoice

Communications provider Broadvoice brought three new channel managers into its fold.

Yvette Bratt (left) is covering Southern California. She most recently was a division director and account manager for The Creative Group. Jamie DeWitt (middle) will handle Texas; he comes to Broadvoice from Vonage Business. And Aubrey Malcom (right) is in charge of Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico. Her last job was western channel sales manager at Navisite.

Read more about these new hires.
Rackspace's Mark Bunting

Mark Bunting brings a diverse background to Rackspace as the company's new chief marketing officer.

Bunting is an author and TV personality who has founded numerous digital and media brands, including SkyTV, which was sold to Ziff-Davis. His tech executive experience includes a role at McAfee.
LogPoint's Michael Persechini

LogPoint, the security management and threat intelligence company, hired Michael Persechini as vice president of sales. His goal is to establish a channel-based sales operation in the U.S.

He has experience at Qwest, Symantec, Motorola, Cisco and more. His new mission is to help businesses reduce risk, time and resources by applying LogPoint SIEM technology.
Duo Security's Neville Letzerich

Cybersecurity provider Duo Security named Neville Letzerich its new chief marketing officer. He has 20 years of executive experience heading global marketing teams and "elevating industry-leading enterprise technology and cybersecurity brands," the company said.

He previously was CMO for Forcepoint (also a security provider) and also worked in EMC's information intelligence group.

Duo Security launched its first partner program a little more than a year ago.
Jabra's Kelly Nagel

Jabra, which sells professional headsets and sound solutions, promoted Kelly Nagel, previously VP or distribution, to president and general manager for Jabra North America. It becomes effective July 1. It's "a reflection of Kelly's leadership in aggressively driving sale and channel growth in the North American market," the company said.

Nagel has more than 20 years of IT channel market experience, joining Jabra in 2016 after holding senior leadership positions at OKI Data and Ingram Micro.
Datapipe's Robb Allen
BetterCloud's Emily Cataldo

Emily Cataldo is an Accenture vet hired by BetterCloud as its first vice president of channel.

She will be responsible for the strategy, management and expansion of BetterCloud’s channel partner community, including resellers, services and distribution partners, across all the applications the company supports. The company provides SaaS security for applications such as G Suite, Dropbox, Slack and Office 365.

We sat down with her for this Q&A about the direction she plans to take the BetterCloud channel program.
Talkdesk

Talkdesk, the cloud contact center provider, hired a pair of channel managers and a marketing manager.

On the left is Scott Eastman. He's a new channel manager for the Mountain region. His previous channel roles were with Advoda, Integra/Electric Lightwave and Momentum Telecom. That's Doug Littrell in the middle. He's a new channel manager covering the Southeast, where he previously helped ShoreTel with enterprise cloud sales and channel management. He will work closely with master agents Avant, Intelisys and Telarus. And on the right is Heather Riley, Talkdesk's senior partner marketing manager. Her background includes stints at Integra/Electric Lightwave and inContact.
Attivo's Steve Troyer

Attivo Networks, which bills itself as a provider of deception solutions for cybersecurity defense, named Steve Troyer its VP of business development. He is tasked with continuing to build out the company's integration partner network.

Troyer founded and was president of LiveReach Media, an IoT analytics startup, prior to his new job with Attivo.
Cato's Yishay Yovel
Vology's Mike Ehresman and Julie Clement

That's Mike Ehresman on the left, Vology's new vice president of sales enablement. He comes to the managed IT services provider from Greenway Health, where he was VP of sales operations, supporting a sales team of nearly 180 people. At Vology, he's responsible for various sales and operational processes, such as improving sales training and maximizing productivity.

On the right is Julie Clement, the company's new chief people officer. She's responsible for fostering employee relations within the organization. She has 25 years of experience, and like Ehresman, joins Vology from Greenway Health.
Evolve IP's Joe Pedano
CenturyLink's Dave Young

Dave Young is CenturyLink's new senior vice president of strategic government. This is a promotion from regional VP.

Young is tasked with bringing "transformative solutions" to the government marketplace throughout North America and around the globe.
