Channel People on the Move: Intelisys, 8×8, Telarus, More

  • Written by Craig Galbraith
  • July 2, 2018
It's time again to see which of your friends, colleagues and competitors were promoted or took new jobs.

It’s time again to see which of your friends, colleagues and competitors were promoted or took new jobs.

The latest version of “Channel People on the Move” not only features personnel moves at Intelisys, 8×8 (a new channel chief from CenturyLink) and Telarus, but also RapidScale, which nabbed its new VP of marketing from a master agent; TPx, which made a pair of new hires; Airespring; and more.

Broadvoice and Kaseya also are represented here.

But those are only about half of the people you’ll see in the gallery below. They’re not only those working every day in the channel, but also those making important executive decisions that will impact partners.

Don’t forget — we’re always updating our webpage that features people on the move.

Missed last month’s “people” gallery? Click here to see who was on the move in May.

Datapipe's Robb Allen
8x8's John DeLozier

In a story that Channel Partners broke to the channel community, you learned that CenturyLink channel VP John DeLozier was making the move to 8x8 to serve as the UCaaS provider's global channel chief.

“I ‘grew up’ implementing [various companies’] unified communications, collaboration and contact-center solutions all over the world for the biggest names, and all we’re doing now is putting them in the cloud,” DeLozier told Channel Partners. So it’s really what I know, really where I’m from. I couldn’t be more super-excited to go to market again with these solutions [at 8×8].”

He rejoins Bill Corbin, 8x8's senior VP of channels and alliances, who held a similar role at CenturyLink.

Learn more about DeLozier's new role.
Intelisys personnel
Intelisys' Gregory Birch and Joann Amaral

Master-agent Intelisys hired a pair of new channel leaders.

The first is channel manager Gregory Birch, a seven-year CenturyLink veteran, who will work out of the Twin Cities to support Intelisys sales partners in five states. He's been in the channel for 17 years. Learn more about him here.

Also new is Joann Amaral, a partner development manager in the Southwest. She worked at XO Communications/Verizon for nearly 20 years. She developed close ties with Intelisys during that time. Get the full scoop on Amaral here.

In a Channel Partners exclusive, Brian Leonard told us that RapidScale has a great reputation in the community.

“The feedback was incredible," he said "Everyone spoke highly of the explosive team and solutions RapidScale continues to offer and expand upon.”

Learn more about why Leonard made the move.
