Successful technology companies that sell indirectly are constantly innovating their partner programs.

Here, we’ve summarized the 12 most noteworthy changes that channel-facing companies have introduced for their partners in the last month. In some cases, the company has formed an entirely new program. In other cases, they’ve rolled out new training, support, certifications or new technology partnerships designed to deepen its partners’ experiences.

Microsoft Inspire The Commons
Telarus

Telarus signed an agreement for agents to sell OmniNet’s security services. Telarus’ 4,000-plus sales partners can now market the security-as-a-service solution. The companies say OmniNet is increasing its market reach while Telarus is improving its security portfolio.

TPx

TPx realigned its service-provisioning organization to create a team dedicated to processing service orders, installations and escalations for its agent partners and their clients nationally.TPx completes about 1,000 orders per month, and nearly half of them come from its agent channel.

ScanSource

ScanSource POS and Barcode announced the PASS Program, billed as a simplified payment process for resellers and their customers. The PASS program makes it easy to add payment terminals to a resellers’ offerings, enabling partners to supply a total solutions package to customers.

Rackspace

Rackspace began offering incentives to new and existing agents, matching the deals agents generate dollar-for-dollar when selling managed hosting offerings between $10,000 and $150,000 in monthly recurring revenue. This is the latest update to the Rackspace Partner Program.

Towerstream

Towerstream, the dedicated internet access (DIA) provider, launched a new wholesale division to provide last-mile services to telecommunications carriers in North America. The wholesale services will use Towerstream’s existing building footprint in 12 major markets and its 25-days-or-less installation time for fixed wireless.

Tenable launched the Assure Partner Program, which includes its first managed security services provider (MSSP) program under the Tenable Assure umbrella. The Tenable Assure Partner Program kicked off on Sept. 1. Resellers and authorized MSSP partners are eligible.

Samsung

Samsung Electronics America (SEA) boosted its  STEP Channel Partner Program by adding enhanced training and certification, expansion of its Marketing Concierge support, and a new channel program to accelerate mobile first strategies. The Samsung Team Empowered Partners (STEP) program is for the vendor’s mobility, professional display and SSD solutions partners.

Comodo

Comodo, the cybersecurity vendor and certificate authority, debuted a free, self-paced and interactive education portal for its MSP partners. The new Comodo Academy is where partners can get trained and certified on the Comodo ONE platform for IT and security management (ITSM).

Netsurion

Netsurion, the managed security service provider, enhanced its partner program with features such as advanced threat protection and 4G cellular failover offerings, and updates to its partner portal. The updated program aims to help resellers grow sales and offer new services to increase their clients’ business value, the company said.

Application management company appOrbit unveiled its first partner program that encourages participation from SIs, VARs and marketplaces. The appOrbit enterprise application platform allows IT organizations to automate the modeling, delivery and management of enterprise software onto any modern infrastructure.

Capriza

Enterprise mobility company Capriza unveiled its new global partner program, a rapidly growing community of more than 30 partners that can offer their customers a wide variety of enterprise mobility offerings by using the Capriza platform. The regional program allows partners to resell or package Capriza’s platform with their own products, and provide services such as implementation or consulting.

AppDynamics launched its new Titan Partner Program. The program has been adapted to equip partners with the “tools, training and support needed to create critical long-term value for their customers who want to thrive in this digital revolution,” according to the company.

Kentik

Kentik, the network traffic intelligence provider, formalized its channel partner program official. The San Francisco-based company says that 20 channel partners have signed with the program. Kentik’s products will give them deeper analytics on their customers’ network performance and security.
