VMware has upgraded with an export to CSV spreadsheet function better reports-generating capabilities and license key management. For example, users can capture data on various pages of the dashboard, including license keys and users and permissions, and export it into a spreadsheet to manage product inventory, support contracts, renewals and to share with colleagues.

Reports now can be run to get a consolidated view across all of a partner’s accounts, avoiding having to back and forth between accounts to get information.

A new filtering function enables users to search for license keys, and license key notes now line up with license keys.

License keys can be selected from multiple folders and then moved into a single folder, rather than selecting and moving one at a time as previously.

Folders can be managed now by right-clicking to view available actions (e.g., rename).

Create custom labels to organize license keys by department, data center, server or any other designation. The filter can then be applied to find the license keys based on the assigned custom labels.

The VMware dashboard has been optimized to take advantage of high-resolution large monitors to enable more viewable space.

New ability to resize panes and columns to view only what the user wants to see.

Set policies for new users to an account to decide which folders that user should have access to and what permissions that user is allowed.

There’s no longer a need to wait for the user to accept the invitation before assigning permissions. Users can remove themselves from an account.

Users can request permissions for issues such as combining license keys with the request sent automatically to the correct contact.
