Managed services provider Tangoe has partnered with AirWatch by VMware to provide customers with end-to-end lifecycle management and real-time insight into MatrixMobile, the company’s managed mobility services suite.
Managed services provider Tangoe has partnered with AirWatch by VMware (VMW) to provide customers with end-to-end lifecycle management and real-time insight into MatrixMobile, the company’s managed mobility services suite.
The global partnership is expected to give MatrixMobile users the ability to utilize AirWatch’s legacy enterprise mobility management solutions to increase visibility into their assets and expand the usage of connected enterprises, according to the announcement.
“By combining the industry’s leading EMM platform with Tangoe’s managed services, AirWatch is the first to provide customers greater access and control of their enterprise mobile lifecycle and can provide overall greater value to mutual customers,” said Sanjay Poonen, executive vice president and general manager, End-User Computing at VMware, in a statement.
With the new partnership, Tangoe users will have access to several new services, including EMM setup and configuration from either AirWatch or Tangoe as well as a choice between cloud-based, hosted or on-premise solutions from AirWatch. Tangoe will also provide remote management and maintenance for AirWatch EMM software and infrastructure for on-premise deployments, according to the announcement.
Additionally, Tangoe will provide its customers with 24/7 direct support during the initial enrollment process as well as support throughout their relationship. Onsite resources customized for each customer’s needs will also be available.
“By collaborating with AirWatch, we are greatly expanding the flexibility and capabilities of our managed mobility services suite,” said Al Subbloie, president, CEO and founder of Tangoe. “Our combined solution is an obvious choice for clients looking to offload the operational management of their mobile estate, freeing them to focus on driving productivity and efficiency in their organizations.”
Last month, AirWatch debuted AirWatch 8, the latest version of the company’s flagship enterprise mobility management solution. Lead Solution Engineer Blake Brannon called AirWatch 8 “the most significant update since our acquisition by VMware.”
