Dynatrace is the latest company to receive VMware (VMW) Ready-vCloud Air status for its application performance management (APM) solutions, the company announced this week. Dynatrace (formerly Compuware APM) also entered into a new partnership with VMware as a member of the access tier of the vCloud Air ISV program, making it the first modern APM solution available on the VMware Solution Exchange for vCloud Air users, according to the company.

“Using Dynatrace on vCloud Air, enterprises gain end-to-end transaction visibility across the entire application delivery chain, with auto-discovery and performance baselines, to identify bottlenecks and performance hot spots wherever they occur,” said Steve Tack, vice president of Product Management at Dynatrace, in a statement. “This delivers an immediate ROI and enables organizations to deploy their apps faster, accelerate performance, and determine the root cause of issues in minutes, not days or weeks, to improve bottom line business results.”

A number of other solution providers have also achieved VMware Ready Status for their products in the past several months, including Barracuda Networks (CUDA), KEMP Technologies and Riverbed Technology (RVBD). The virtualization giant launched its vCloud Air Network in August after rebranding the former vCloud Hybrid Service to reflect the new direction of its as-a-service offerings. Since then, the company has revealed additional programs and services for vCloud Air, including the vCloud Air ISV Partner Program and vCloud Director 5.6, respectively. The VMware Ready Program is a co-branding offshoot of the company’s Technology Alliance Partner program.

“We are pleased Dynatrace has joined the vCloud Air ISV Program and has achieved VMware Ready-vCloud Air certification. Dynatrace works seamlessly within VMware vCloud Air, and can be deployed in production with confidence,” said Sanjay Katyal, vice president, Global Alliances & OEMs, VMware. “This is significant for our customers because it brings two trusted companies together—the market leader in virtual environments and the market leader in APM—to help organizations accelerate transitions to the cloud.”
