Channel partners and IT professionals who register today can save 15 percent on VMware's instructor-led training, On Demand Classroom, and VMware Lab Connect (Jn the U.S., Canada and Latin America only), according to the company's Education and Certification Blog.

While thousands of folks continue to earn base VMware certifications, a growing number of IT services providers are going deeper with the virtualization company — earning Cloud and End-User Computing (EUC) certifications. The EUC certification is particularly interesting now that VMware has acquired Desktone — a desktop as service (DaaS) platform provider.

Longer term, VMware is pushing partners to design software-defined data centers (SDDC), which will allow partners and customers to more easily manage converged servers, storage and network resources.
