An Adaptive and Layered Approach to Endpoint Security
The increased awareness around the need to fortify endpoint security is well-founded: Endpoints play a central role as the entry point through which many cybersecurity attacks are launched. The need to layer on additional controls has resulted in an endpoint security continuum via which organizations have added advanced preventative controls and/or advanced detection and response controls on top of their existing endpoint protection platform (EPP) suites. Newer prevention, detection, and response controls are being aggregated into a new generation of endpoint protection platform (EPP) suites that deliver both improved efficacy and operational efficiency.
This paper explores the conditions that necessitate such a solution as well as the requirements of new generation EPPs organizations should consider when evaluating endpoint security offerings.
It explores:
- The Endpoint’s Starring Role in Cybersecurity Attacks
- Diversified Threat Types: File-Based/Fileless Attacks
- The Endpoint Security Continuum
- Next-generation Endpoint Security Requirement
