Zenith Infotech CEO Prepares SmartStyle Cloud Pitch
After several delays on the cloud front, Zenith Infotech CEO Akash Saraf (pictured) is preparing to hit the road and promote the company’s SmartStyle Office initiative, a so-called private cloud storage solution. Here are some preliminary details.
Saraf will kick off an educational road show June 8 and June 9 in New York. Saraf’s participation is noteworthy because he mostly works in India, and he has personally been heads-down on the SmartStyle project for quite some time.
Many Zenith Infotech channel partners have been waiting more than a year for Zenith Infotech to officially deliver SmartStyle. After some delays, the company provided deeper SmartStyle details in April 2010 during the Autotask Community Live conference. The details included preliminary pricing and market positioning information.
To further differentiate its revenue stream, Zenith Infotech also is pursuing a telepresence initiative that involves a sister company called Vu Technologies. Extensive details about the telepresence effort also surfaced at the Autotask event in April 2010.
Although demand for traditional RMM (remote management and monitoring), NOC (network operation center) and business continuity services remains strong, those markets are intensely competitive. Hence a decision by Zenith Infotech to pursue additional cloud storage and telepresence opportunities.
