As soon as security vendor Symantec (SYMC) pulled itself out of the cloud-based backup and disaster recovery (BDR) services space, rivals began jumping at the opportunity, offering deals to Symantec customers and partners, hoping to attract some extra business before the end of the quarter.

By now, some Symantec channel partners have begun looking elsewhere, possibly at some of the solutions on our list of Backup Exec.cloud alternatives.
