VoIP: M5 Networks Acquires Callfinity Cloud Call Center

m5

M5 Networks, a hosted VoIP service provider that’s no stranger to the cloud, has acquired call center software developer Callfinity. The goal, according to M5 Networks, is to enable midsize businesses access to the same kind of contact center technologies that are available to larger enterprises.

For M5‘s part, this expands their offering and lets them capitalize on a growing demand for call center services among their client base, while also using the technology to enhance customer service throughout the customer’s organization, according to the press release. Previously, M5 Networks says that call center solutions like those developed by Callfinity have been costly and had to be on-premises. But the cloud solves those problems.

As for Callfinity’s existing customers — M5 Networks will continue to develop, market, and support Callfinity’s product line. And Callfinity CTO Patrick Conroy will become M5 Networks’ vice president of technology, serving their largest legacy clients.

Since both companies are privately held, financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. But M5 Networks systems integrator and MSP partners, already taking advantage of the market trend towards hosted PBX, get another arrow in their figurative quiver in the form of call center services.
