VMworld: FireMon, NetApp, Fortanix, Others Unveil Latest Products, Services

- HP announced new additions to its thin client portfolio aimed at helping businesses maximize their transition to VDI and cloud environments.
- Nvidia and VMware announced their plans to deliver accelerated graphics processing unit (GPU) services for VMware Cloud on AWS to power modern enterprise applications, including AI, machine learning and data analytics workflows.
- Kenna Security announced a collaboration to integrate its vulnerability risk intelligence with VMware AppDefense (part of the VMware vSphere Platinum offering). AppDefense is a data center security product that protects applications running in virtualized environments.
- Platform9 said it has raised $25 million in Series D funding, bringing the total amount raised by the company to $61.5 million. The new capital allows Platform9 to continue expanding its global salesforce, product
and marketing teams, as well as continue delivering new capabilities for cloud-native hybrid cloud infrastructure management.
