VAR Dynamics: Partners Customize Microsoft CRM in the Cloud
VAR Dynamics, which, as you may guess from the name, provides white-label SaaS solutions to channel partners, has announced a plugin registration tool for hosted Microsoft Dynamics CRM. In theory, VARs and cloud service providers can offer customized CRM deployments without costly infrastructure expenses. In other words, cloud resellers, MSPs, and developers potentially gain a tool to make cloud CRM just as appealing as on-premises options.
Here’s what VAR Dynamics CTO Matt Baldwin had to say on the new system in a prepared statement:
“For the channel, this unique plugin registration platform now enables VARs, MSPs, ISVs, and others to cost-effectively deliver their own private-label CRM customizations using a simple Web interface in the cloud. The result is that their end-user customers will reap the greatest business benefits possible from their CRM systems.”
Previously, says VAR Dynamics’ press release, making modifications to Microsoft Dynamics CRM was a matter of setting up and building out complex dedicated environments. But now VAR Dynamics’ ecosystem of partners have a better way.
If VAR Dynamics works as advertised, it could give Microsoft a further boost in the CRM market. Microsoft Channel Chief Jon Roskill recently told The VAR Guy (TalkinCloud’s sister site) that the Dynamics business has been going gangbusters. Still, Dynamics faces intense competition from NetSuite, Salesforce.com, SAP and Oracle (among other players).
Long story short, it’s a potential win for the channel when a company like VAR Dynamics comes out with a way to better serve customers with familiar tools. We’ll keep an eye on VAR Dynamics going forward to see what they come up with next.
