Valley VC Marc Andreessen Joins Dialpad Board of Directors

Unified communications provider Dialpad announced this week that Marc Andreessen is joining its company’s board of directors.

According to Dialpad, Andreessen joins its board at a time of significant growth, as it has signed on more than 25,000 customers, expanded into international markets, and partnered with companies including Salesforce. At Dreamforce, Dialpad announced integration with Salesforce Lightning.

“Dialpad will kill the desk phone and give enterprises the communications tools they need to survive and thrive,” Marc Andreessen, general partner at Andreessen Horowitz said in a statement.

Dialpad is a completely cloud-based solution, and around 85 percent of its users are completely free of their desk phones, the company said.

“It’s incredibly validating to have one of the greatest investors and entrepreneurs in the Silicon Valley join our board,” Craig Walker, CEO of Dialpad said in a statement. “Marc’s ongoing support and now deeper level of investment in Dialpad speaks volumes about our company, our technology and our vision for modern business communications. His experience nurturing and scaling high-growth companies will be invaluable as we continue to transform the future of voice communications and messaging in the enterprise.”

Andreessen joins Dialpad board members including its three co-founders Craig Walker, John Rector, and Brian Peterson.
