Tech Data (TECD) has agreed to provide Oracle (ORCL)’s suite of software-as-a-service (SaaS) cloud applications to service resellers in the United States through its TDCloud business unit.

“Oracle’s SaaS solutions provide resellers with a robust set of tools to meet the varying requirements of their end-user customers,” said Stacy Nethercoat, vice president of TDCloud marketing at Tech Data. “The addition of Oracle’s suite of SaaS cloud applications are a great complement to the comprehensive list of cloud offerings available in the Tech Data Solutions Store.”

The agreement allows the Clearwater, Florida-based technology distributor to offer the following Oracle SaaS solutions through its TDCloud business unit, which is powered by Tech Data’s StreamOne global IT platform: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Global HR Cloud and Talent Management Cloud.

“Oracle’s SaaS solutions will provide infrastructure businesses need to grow their cloud portfolio, while helping to drive customer satisfaction through delivery of highly branded, configured and customized experiences,” Nethercoat told MSPmentor in an interview. “We are always looking for ways to expand our cloud offerings, especially with a strategic vendor like Oracle.”

“The expanded strategic alliance with Oracle will further enable us to offer additional training, education and support to fully equip our solution providers for business growth and success,” she said. “Oracle selected Tech Data because we are an established leader in activating channel VARs to sell and deploy cloud solutions.”

Nethercoat added: “For example, Tech Data has seen 40 percent year-over-year growth in cloud subscriptions with over 3,000 VARs transacting cloud services today.”

The expanded relationship with Oracle follows Tech Data’s recently announced partnership with EarthLink, which enables Tech Data to offer its customers EathLink’s suite of managed cloud and support services.
