Systems America Rebrands Around Cloud Business
Solution provider Systems America has announced a rebranding of its portfolio around cloud computing: Where before the company offered SAP and Oracle server solutions, now it will be promoting resold SaaS offerings including Workday, Amazon Web Services, Google Apps and especially Salesforce.com. And to help bring Systems America into the cloud era, it intends to hire no fewer than 500 Salesforce pros to deliver professional services around the offering.
According to the press release, Systems America is aiming to deliver “consulting to integration to operations and management” to its customers. As you may have guessed, Systems America is especially promoting Salesforce services, and the company will migrate, implement and deploy the cloud CRM solution for clients from top to bottom.
Moreover, in an e-mail to TalkinCloud, Systems America CEO Adesh Tyagi noted the company has started a so-called “Mobile Cloud” business, hinging around building smartphone applications on the Salesforce Force.com framework, as well as tools for Apple iOS devices. The company is also hyping its social media tools, all based on the Salesforce Chatter offering (unsurprising).
It takes a lot of guts to take an existing channel-focused practice and swing it around to become a cloud broker, service provider and integrator. And we’ll be watching closely to see how this play turns out for them.
