SOA Software OAuth Server Integrates Access Management Systems
Enterprise API management and SOA governance products provider SOA Software recently announced SOA Software OAuth Server, an enterprise authentication and authorization product, enabling users with the ability to use their enterprise credentials to login and control access to their data from partner and cloud applications.
Looking to make it just as easy for users to access their cloud-based data as it is to access enterprise data, SOA Software has introduced SOA Software OAuth Server, an enterprise authentication and authorization software product that enables users to use their enterprise credentials to log in and control access to their data from partner and cloud applications. It's a natural extension for SOA which bills itself as an enterprise API management and SOA governance products vendor.
Here's how the new product works. SOA Software OAuth Server uses a security token server that integrates with enterprise identity and access management systems, enabling businesses to publish and interact with secure data and users to share private data between different applications and approve applications to act on their behalf without sharing passwords.
OAuth Server product offers the following features:
- Integration with most common enterprise identity systems including LDAP, Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Active Directory, CA (NASDAQ: CA) SiteMinder, Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL) Access Manager, IBM (NYSE: IBM) Tivoli Access Manager, RSA ClearTrust and more.
- Support for the OpenID, OAuth 1.0a and OAuth 2.0 specifications as well as other authentication and authorization specifications.
- More control for users, letting them make and manage authorization decisions and control their own permissions.
- Support for multiple providers, each with its own set of resource and grant definitions, allowing enterprises to offer a range of different OAuth services for different applications and purposes.
"Enterprises can use the SOA Software OAuth Server to allow their users to approve mobile, web and desktop applications to act on their behalf and securely share private data, without the need for legally complex, risky and heavyweight mechanisms," said SOA Software CTO Alistair Farquharson.
SOA Software OAuth Server is available as on-premise software, starting at $50,000.
