SherWeb Hosted Exchange Product Manager Rima Hatoum says the company made Lync 2013 interoperable with other hosted components on the back-end.

SherWeb customers and partners can now take advantage of Hosted Lync 2013, the company’s instant messaging and collaboration tool for the workplace.

The Sherbrooke, Quebec-based cloud services provider (CSP) made the announcement this week. The news follows the recent the rollout of SherWeb’s cloud-based business email and collaboration suite for value-added resellers (VARs).

Hosted Lync 2013 offers customers features such as instant messaging, voice, video and virtual meetings. It also seamlessly integrates with Microsoft (MSFT) Office apps.

“Partners and end-users can leverage SherWeb’s 15 years of hosting experience and avoid having to make large investments or maintain sophisticated infrastructure and specialized in-house expertise to access the latest Microsoft technologies,” SherWeb Hosted Exchange Product Manager Rima Hatoum said in a statement.

The company said it’s offering new customers a free two-month trial on hosted Lync 2013. This promotion is only available until August 31st.
