Rackspace has extended Managed Application Services for Microsoft Azure to enhance companies’ app performance. The release will be available beginning in October to help businesses architect and manage their critical applications for maximum performance and provide monitoring and troubleshooting for problems in the network, infrastructure, and application layers.

The release brings Fanatical Support to customers of digital applications on Azure, including Sitecore Experience Platform, Magento, SAP Hybris, Oracle Commerce, Adobe Experience Manager, and custom Java and .Net applications. It features a 100 percent platform uptime guarantee, expertise available for customer support 24x7x365, and advanced monitoring for the health of their environment with application performance monitoring tools, Rackspace says.

Rackspace has been steadily launching new offerings and partnerships in the weeks since it went private. Most recently, Rackspace announced a partnership where it will run Microsoft services for Alert Logic.

“Delivering Managed Application Services to a growing number of businesses running digital applications on top of Microsoft Azure allows us to address a significant need in the market,” Kyle Metcalf, general manager for Rackspace Digital said in a statement. “Managing the full range of digital applications requires deep expertise. By bringing our Fanatical Support up the stack to the application layer, we’re able to provide unprecedented value to digital customers on Azure. These customers can now sleep comfortably each night knowing that Rackspace is watching their sites and helping ensure their valuable applications are always operating optimally.”

Rackspace also extended its managed security platform to support Azure in August.
